What is Marsaction 2: Space Homestead?

Welcome to the red desert!

Marsaction 2: Space Homestead is the thrilling sequel to the wildly successful Marsaction: Infinite Ambition! It’s a Strategy & City-Building mobile game, set in the swarm-infested wastelands of the Red Planet—a world of bugs, robots, war, and blood.

In Marsaction 2: Space Homestead, you’re tasked with building, expanding, and protecting your colony Base—establishing presence, territory, and survival across a brutal Martian landscape. Can you conquer the various threats that plague this alien world?

During this journey, you can expect to:

  • Build Your Base: Collect resources, upgrade buildings, construct a Base, and claim a corner of Mars for your own.
  • Defeat The Planet: Conquer this blood-soaked desert, and its bevy of threats—from rugged terrain, and roaming Swarms, to hostile Robots, and rival Bases.
  • Form A Squad: Meet, recruit, and upgrade a roster of interplanetary Heroes. Form a tight-knit squad, and direct them in service of your goals.
  • Train An Army: Acquire, train, and deploy a massive Mecha army to protect your Base, and to annihilate your foes.
  • Compete Against Players: Mars runs on the ambitions of the brave. Reach out to other players—forge partnerships, and ratify Alliances—or march to war, for power and blood.

Getting Started - Conquering Mars

Stake your claim. Mark your territory. Paint your name across the sand. Here are some useful tips on how to get started in Marsaction 2: Space Homestead, and how to make fast progress:

Focus On Your Base: Prioritize upgrading your Spacecraft, and your Resource Buildings. You’ll need a steady income of Resources if you want to expand.

  • Unlock access to newer, better, and more powerful Buildings.
    • Buildings will provide ongoing benefits to your Base, and allow access to new features.
    • Upgrading Buildings will improve the benefits they provide.
    • In order to upgrade the Spacecraft—the main HQ of your Base—you will need to meet the level and cost requirements.

Eliminate Swarm Tiles to recapture areas around your Spacecraft; this will grant more land on which to develop Buildings.

Claim Areas once you’ve cleared them (and eliminated nearby threats).

Complete Tasks: Tasks are one of the fastest ways to earn Resources, and other Rewards. Complete them often to strengthen your Base!

Upgrade Your Heroes: Start recruiting Heroes early, and upgrade them whenever you can; Heroes are extremely important to your success, and each one boasts a suite of unique abilities, both within and outside of combat.

Join An Alliance: Joining an Alliance grants access to protection, perks, Resources, and camaraderie; it’s one of the best (and fastest) ways to strengthen your Base, influence, and reputation.

Participate In Events: Make sure to participate in recurring and limited-time Events! These offer great rewards, and are often tied to other special bonuses.

Basic Buildings

The sum of a Base cannot exceed its parts. Your Buildings will serve a series of functions, features, and goals.

The Buildings below represent the most basic (and most important) Buildings to Base growth! Build and upgrade them as often as you can.

Aircraft Camp: The Aircraft Camp is used to Train Aircraft Mecha Soldiers.

Armory: The Armory is where you’ll craft Gear & Crystals to empower your Captain.

Barracks: Barracks are used for Training Soldiers, which will, in turn, increase the number and might of your army. Level up the Barracks to increase your Training Queue.

Cabin: The Cabin is used to house and retain Workers.

Clinic House: The Clinic House plays support to the Mechanic Hospital—it will increase the number of Wounded Mecha Soldiers you can treat at any given time.

Council Hall: The Council Hall enables you to organize Rallies, and launch Rallies at opponents.

Mars Archive: This Building records and celebrates all of your achievements; return often to claim prizes.

Mechanic Hospital: The Mechanic Hospital heals Mecha that have been Wounded in defense of your Base, keeping them reusable for future battles.

Mobile Camp: The Mobile Camp is used to Train Mobile Mecha Soldiers.

These are only a few of the Buildings available in Marsaction 2: Space Homestead - Level Up and Unlock some of the rarer Buildings to access fun and exciting features!

Combat Basics

Extraterrestrial conquest and colonization is necessitated by blood. A serious Base enforces its authority on threats of violence.

There are two primary types of Combat in Marsaction 2: Space Homestead: Player vs. Environment (PvE) and Player vs. Player (PvP). Both types of Combat require you to send a March.

  • Marches are initiated whenever you send Soldiers to a Tile on the Region Map.
  • Sending Marches uses a March Slot. Your Base has a limited number of March Slots, which can be increased through various means.

Player vs. Environment (PvE) Combat: This type of combat can pit your forces against anything from savage Swarms, to rogue Robots—NPC enemies that will make things treacherous while you roam the red wastes.

Player vs. Player (PvP) Combat: This type of combat occurs when attacking another player, defending against another player, or competing for an objective on the Region Map.

  • You can attack solo by deploying your Soldiers in a March, or you can coordinate a Rally assault with your Alliance.
  • Successfully attacking an enemy Base will allow you to steal a portion of their Resources, and weaken their position.

Heroes

These are the legends of the stars—those warriors and myths that have stained the Martian sand with oil and blood; they’re also playable characters that you can deploy (and control) during gameplay. Heroes are yours to train, upgrade, and recruit. Will you collect them all?

Heroes can be used to:

  • Provide bonuses to Marching Soldiers
  • Grant passive buffs to your Base
  • Defend your Base at the Laser Gate
  • Win Battles against Expedition Enemies

Every Hero has a Class, which defines their specialization:

  • Tank Heroes are built for soaking damage, and holding the frontline.
  • DPS Heroes are designed to deal the most damage.
  • Support Heroes provide crucial buffs and benefits to others.

It’s best to recruit and combine Heroes that have a mix of styles and classes! Heroes also have different rarities: Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Upgrading Heroes of a higher rarity will yield stronger benefits in battle.

To advance Hero Star & Skill Levels, you'll need Hero Decrees, Hero Pieces, Skill Codexes, and Hero XP, which can be obtained from a variety of sources, including Task Rewards, and Sales.

Research

The scientists of your Base work tirelessly; they pore through archives, toil away in laboratories, and patent bleeding-edge technology, all in effort to keep your Base ahead of the competition.Their Research is completed over time and will provide powerful boosts to your Base.

You’ll find Research Trees in the Cyborg Lab; each Tree will have individual Research ‘Nodes,’ and completing a Node will provide the associated benefits forever.

Resources are required to complete Research, and Speed Ups can be used to complete Research faster. Completing Research will increase your power, acumen, and capabilities in all facets of the game. It is critical for surviving and prospering on Mars.

Resources

Resources are used to Construct Buildings, Train/Heal Troops, perform Research, and more. Industriousness should be a General's closest companion.

Quartz is produced in the Quartz Pit, and can also be found while Gathering from Resource Tiles on the Region Map.

Corn is produced in the Tunnel Farm, and can also be found while Gathering from Resource Tiles on the Region Map.

Alloy is produced in the Smelter, and can also be found while Gathering from Resource Tiles on the Region Map.

Gas is produced in the Gas Plant, and can also be found while Gathering from Resource Tiles on the Region Map.

Power is produced on the Power Station, and can also be found while Gathering from Resource Tiles on the Region Map.

Powerstones are a valuable currency that can be used to purchase special Items, or instantly complete Construction, Research, and more.

Mars Credits are a Web Store Exclusive Currency that can be used in the Shop to acquire Packs, enhance your Base, and increase your power—all at discounted price points, sales, and offers. Getting Mars Credits through the Web Store will allow you to purchase in-game Packs for a cheaper price. It’s the smarter way to spend!

Gathering Resources

Your Soldiers & Armies are not just for fighting. They can (and should) be used as gatherers, too.

You can find Resource Tiles for Quartz, Alloy, Gas, and Corn all across the Region Map. Tap on a Resource Tile to send Soldiers there, and to reap its associated Rewards.

  • Marches are initiated whenever you send Soldiers to a Resource Tile on the Region Map; during this activity, one of your March Slots will be considered occupied.
  • Beware: enemy players can attack your Soldiers while they are gathering from a Resource Tile.
  • The higher a Resource Tile’s Level, the more Resources that Tile will have available.

Complete Research to increase your Resource Gathering Speed and the amount of Marches you can have active at once.

VIP - The Promise of Fame

In Marsaction 2: Space Homestead, VIP is a feature that provides massive, special benefits to your Base. VIP Points are used to increase VIP Level, and reaching new VIP Levels will activate VIP status.

The higher your VIP Level, the better your VIP benefits will be. Fame (or infamy) always comes with its rewards. VIP benefits include valuable Daily Gifts, Base Boosts, special features, and more.

Tap on the VIP Icon directly below your Profile Avatar to activate VIP Status and explore the benefits of your VIP Level!

Teleporting

You have the ability to move to another location on the Region Map, which can be desirable for various reasons. A Teleport Item is required to Teleport.

Whenever you’re ready to Teleport, tap on an unoccupied space on the Region Map, then tap on Teleport, and confirm the use of your Teleport Item.

There are different types of Teleport Items, each with their own uses and restrictions.

Base Shields

Base Shields are hugely important Items that can spell the difference between life or death.

Base Shields must be acquired and activated; once activated, a Base Shield will prevent other players from being able to Attack or Scout your Base for as long as the Shield is active. More powerful Shields will have longer active durations.

This can be immensely beneficial if you need to recover from a previous attack, protect your Resources, or even step away from the game for any length of time.

Base Shields can typically be found in Sales.

Temporary Boosts

Mars and its hierarchy, is ever in flux—so certain situations, opportunities, or catastrophes may require a momentary excess of strength.

Base Boosts obtained through Research, Buildings, and Heroes are permanent and are always applied. However, there are some Boosts, known as Temporary Boosts, that act as the name implies.

Temporary Boosts are Items that can give specific Boosts for limited amounts of time. Using a Temporary Boost Item will consume it and immediately start the timer for that Boost, so be strategic, and make sure to take advantage while it’s active.

You can find Temporary Boosts for almost anything in Marsaction 2: Space Homestead. Tap on your Base Center to explore all types of Temporary Boosts. They can also be found in Sales, Event rewards, and more.
